He holds a Master Degree in business and had served in the government for 25 years and held various positions in various commercial companies Hence, he has served as a consultant in finance loan and as director of production and delivery of products. He also served in a number of cooperative organizations and NGOs (non-governmental voluntary organizations).

MANAGING DIRECTOR

He has more than 20 years of extensive experience in business and technical expertise. Master in Civil Engineering (UTM) and Hydrological Engineering Science Degree from the University of New Castle Open, Tyne UK, and is serving as a director at Jurutera Perunding Zaaba Sdn. Bhd. ltd. which is a leading engineering company. Besides that, he is an expert in water resources engineering, irrigation and the environment. He previously served as a lecturer at UTM (1987-1996) as well as a professional engineer. His latest technology evolved agarwood and gaharu wood-related industries throughout research over five years.

·        Provide agarwood (Subintegra) seedlings to planters at reasonable cost including advices on cultivation and inoculation techniques.

·        Buying back the oil and core wood (agarwood) of the planters to meet the needs of local and international demands.

·        Organising training and seminars for entrepreneurs who are interested in  agarwood ventures through correct techniques and proper products marketing

·        Provide inoculation through UIA proven techniques and provide special organic fertilizer for the cultivation of agarwood.

·        Selling products such as agarwood tea, agarwood essential oils, perfumes and beauty products and branded facial care under the brand named known as  Arome Roman.

Our mission is to achieve and develop the commercial cultivation of agarwood in Malaysia, as well as related agarwood industries by applying tissue culture through biotechnology, usage of bio-technology fertilizer and inoculation technology to produce better high quality agarwood resin.

In addition, our company will pursue better and efficient extraction processes through state of the art distillation technology to produce agarwood essential oil by various modern technique for the industries of perfumes, cosmetics and health products in Malaysia.

The company was established in year 2006 and is located in TTDI Jaya, Shah Alam. Selangor Darul Ehsan. It has an exclusive showroom for products display, meeting room, office space and other facilities for customers and employees. Besides that, we also owned a 1,008 acres plantation in Dabong, Kelantan Darul Naim. Our plantation has an office, prayer room, worker’s lounge, light and heavy machineries and other related facilities for plantation and workers comfort.

KGMSB is currently developing a factory complex for agarwood storage, grading and processing at Bentong, Pahang Darul Makmur . The factory will be equipped with state of the art technology machines in agarwood processing as well as a research center.  By the time this project is completed, the complex will be a source for the production of perfumes, cosmetics and herbal medicines based on agarwood for global commercialization. Research center complex of excellence is a result of joint venture exercises with Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), International Islamic University (IIU), University Technology Mara (UiTM), Univerity Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM).

On the other hand, Kayu Gaharu (M) Sdn. Bhd also has a partnership formed with Thailand partners. This is to establish a good long term relationship between the two governments for the sharing of technology with technical expertise, ongoing research and development projects within the two countries. This partnership was formed with Prathueng Maihom Company in Ayothaya, Thailand. The Thai company has a long term existing research and well planned marketing strategy of 30 years experienced in the field of biotechnology, production and development of agarwood trees.

AGARWOOD

Agarwood is a core tree resin found in Aquilaria trees which are only available in South Asia and Southeast Asia. Not all of these trees produce agarwood. There is a theory stated that some fungus-infected trees will be able to produce an “aromatic oleoresin". Fungi that grow on this tree produce high quality resin with pure fragrance and deep darkness in the wooden terrace. Thus, the resin is used as fragrance essences to be sold to the world.

Agarwood is known by many names; it is much appreciated and used in traditional cultures for religious rites, perfumery and medicine.
